We recommend one of the following three hotels for your choice of accommodation for the EMBEC 2020 conference. Note that the Grand Hotel Bernardin (GHB) is also the conference venue. The other two hotels/complexes are within a 5-minute walk's distance from the GHB.

Deadline for room reservation and important info regarding rates

Please note very carefully that the latest possible date for your room reservation is 19 October, 2020 ! Also, rooms are no longer guaranteed after 19 October, so it may be impossible to get rooms close to the meeting venue after that date!

Rates given below apply for Conference participants and reservations must be made during online registration.

Prices listed below are subject to 7% discount if your stay spans four (4) or more consecutive nights. Discount will be charged at hotel reception.

You can reserve your room via a booking service or directly with the hotel, however, the rates given below are not applicable in that eventuality.

Adittional payments not included to the prices below: Tourist tax: 2.50 EUR per night per person, and Hotel administrative fee: 1.00 EUR per stay.

Grand Hotel Bernardin *****

Hotel Histrion ****

Next to the former monastery church of St. Bernardin, after which the hotel complex between Piran and Portorož has been named, Histrion Hotel is located. Hotel guests have direct access to Laguna Bernardin Water Park, Histrion Wellness and Casino Bernardin.

Hotel Vile Park ***

Hotel Vile Park, part of the holiday resort St. Bernardin located between Piran and Portorož, comprises 5 villas with a capacity of 216 rooms – Vila Galeb, Vila Galeja, Vila Orada and Vila Nimfa and Vila Barka with 21 apartments. All villas are connected with a lovely shopping street with bars and restaurants, which leads to the Marina and sheltered by the lush Mediterranean vegetation.

Breakfast and dinner are served in Hotel Histrion , from where guest can access the water park Laguna Bernardin, Wellness Centre Histrion and Casino Bernardin. Guests are welcome also to the Tropic Bar near the pool, where they can enjoy refreshing drinks.
